The Next Phase Has Begun

Now that the book is written, time for the real work to begin, mainly editing and rewriting. I've printed up a few galley copies for a few reviewers to read and give feedback on, and I've begun to think about the cover design. It's a lot of work but for some reason it doesn't feel like work, mostly because I'm so excited for what it could be.

I think now it's time to tell you what the book is about. Here it is:

What do you do when you're young, successful and beautiful but you hate your life?

Meet August. He's young, gorgeous and successful but he really hates being him. He thinks there's something wrong with him, scratch that, he knows there's something wrong with him but he doesn't know what to do with himself. His sister thinks he needs to get help. So he goes to see a psychiatrist to do just that. The only problem is, he starts falling for the one person who's supposed to help him and all hell starts to break lose. Before he knows it, he's literally standing on the ledge and wondering, how the hell did he get here?

Coming of Age is a story of growing up, discovering yourself and finding your happiness in the face of mental illness and heartbreaking loss. It's a story of self-discovery, forgiveness, love and heartbreak, told in the points of view of three people who are all going through their own "coming of age".

I can't wait until you get your hands on a copy. I'm sending out the galley copies to reviewers as we speak and as soon as I finish the editing, the novel will officially be launched! So watch this space. Coming of Age is coming... soon.
